The Style Bible - Trainers & Maxi Skirts

Happy Sunday eve guys! I’ve had one of the best weekends in ages. I’ve been so focused on learning to relax recently and pushing my style boundaries. Some of them revolve around a more laid back day's off. Today's style bible centres around wearing trainers and maxi skirts. I'm in love with this look and can't wait to get all my maxi skirts working this way.

  1. The key to looking good with these style choices is to ensure your nails are looking as polished as possible. The most undone outfit will come to life when your finishing touches are done to perfection. For me nails are so very important. One of the main reasons I love my job is that nails finish any outfit and I always ask my clients about their wardrobes when we have colour debates and discussions!. They are the deal breakers for me and I instantly look at someones nails when I see a stylish lady. If the nails are not considered it really can create the wrong look. Especially if your everyday outfits are on the more casual end of the spectrum.
  2. Your hair and makeup should also reflect a more low key feel when wearing premium items with trainers. I'm not saying roll out of bed with the attitude of not caring. But consider scrupulously clean hair styled in loose waves and a softer easy makeup look. You might have worked at it bit the look will say "I'm effortlessly chic" without looking silly.
  3. Don't try too hard. If you are adding one really floaty item like this stunning skirt from H&M always dumb it down with a simple T-shirt.
  4. The length is vital to this look. Always wear your maxi skirts to the maximum length to pull this look off totally.
  5. Keep the accessories to a minimum and make sure they are fairly casual numbers to keep the look low key.
  6. Don't worry about what others think and have a play with your style!
