The Style Bible - How To Style The Sock Boot
The sock boot is back in stock, so can I get a high five!! I totally and utterly loved this look last winter and gosh I'm thrilled its back. Every wardrobe needs a good pair of these babies in almost every colour, pattern or texture you can get your fashion mitts on girls.
I'm asked all the time how to style the sock boot by my clients and they all are ecstatic when they find the right pair. Mine are from Topshop and the have a real designer feel about them. They elongate the legs and can be worn with practically everything in your wardrobe right down to maxi dresses. Here I chose to style this with a wrap skirt from Never Fully Dressed and turtle neck form none other than Tesco's!
Whether you’re into full on glam girl about town a pair at least one pair of sock boots really do need to worm it's way into your wardrobe. styling them is the easy part! So if your a rock chick or smart dressing lady you won't be pushed for outfit options.
If you want to work those oh so cool rock-chic vibes, look no further than pairing them with a pair of black skinny jeans, a rock band T or a simple white t-shirt under a leather jacket, seriously cool. I love to wear them with skirts, dresses and cropped kick flair jeans.
I love these super sophisticated and sleek black boots so much I'm considering purchasing 2 pairs and I know last seasons got a battering. Heel height is approximately 3" so they are perfect for days out shopping. They are the most comfortable, blister and pain free boots I've ever owned.
The price point of these is mind blowing at a reasonable £49 compared the their designer Balenciaga pals at a whopping £695. They positioned themselves as a cult buy for Fall 2017 and now this year they have come back. They are quite frankly the perfect option for styling up jeans and dresses alike.
Can you tell I have become rather smitten and adore them so much. Lets see how many colours they come out with this winter. I am visualising a red pair teamed with some winter white jeans and huge oversized black or grey roll neck jumper....I can feel the cold air and cozy knits against my skin already!
If you're in any doubt about how to style them you can always ask me! You can never ask too many important questions about fashion or style. It's changing so rapidly it's understandable that we all get a little caught up wondering what on earth to wear. If you truly want to improve your style stakes then it's best to get a little help.
Asking questions about style is a huge part of personal growth and that constant learning curve. It certainly isn't a sign that your not style savvy. It just shows that you are keen to look your best. Don't ever be afraid to ask a fashion related question that you haven't already understood. Some questions like "is the puff ball shirt ever coming back into fashion" can't be answered and I wholeheartedly hope it doesn't! But saying that we will never know!
A few years ago I suppose furry loafers would have been laughed at! And now they are one of Gucci's best sellers. Fashion is very weird indeed. You don't need all the answers to look good!
